RemarkableMail for ACT! Tutorial

1 Select Contacts

Start RemarkableMail from the ACT! toolbar or ACT! Write menu. Before doing so, first select which contacts you want to include in the mailing. Doing so is easy since RemarkableMail is context-sensitive. RemarkableMail will automatically retrieve the contact(s) when either a contact, list of selected contacts, or a group is being viewed at the time the RemarkableMail icon is selected.

RemarkableMail will then perform some basic validation of the addresses and display the results. Any contact records that do not pass the edits will automatically be omitted from the mailing. The reasons for rejecting the contact record are incuded. In addition, you'll have the option of creating a new group in ACT! that contains the invalid contact records. If this option is selected, a note is also inserted that explains why the record was rejected.

RemarkableMail also provides the option to map up to three additional fields for using in as part of the text message. Visit our Help section to see more about this feature called "Message Merge".

In adddtion, RemarkableMail allows you to select either the work or home address. At this time, you may also omit contacts from the mailing.
